How Do I Prepare for My Delivery?
- Have an adult, 18 years or older, be present to accept any delivery.
- Re-measure to make sure your new furniture will fit in your home.
- Clear the room and decide where your new furniture will be placed.
- All product arrival dates are tentative and based on manufacturer lead times. If your furniture is not in stock at the time of purchase, the delivery date listed on your invoice may vary based on product arrival.
Delivery & Installation
Your satisfaction is our priority. Once your furniture has been delivered and installed, please inspect your purchase carefully before our delivery team leaves. If you have any questions or concerns about your furniture or its installation, let our team know immediately or contact our Customer Care team at (318) 683-3271. We're committed to making it right.
Pickup Option
Prefer to pick up your order? You can pick up your purchase from your local Ivan Smith Furniture warehouse at no additional charge. During checkout, simply choose the option that's most convenient for you—Delivery or Store Pickup.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will the furniture fit in my home?
Please measure all doorways, hallways, stairways, elevators, and the intended room before placing your order. While our delivery team will make every reasonable effort, customers are responsible for ensuring that the furniture will fit in their home.
Will the delivery team remove my old furniture, mattresses, and/or appliances?
We will not remove existing furniture, appliances, or mattresses. The room should be cleared and ready to accept the purchased merchandise.
What appliances do you install?
We will install washers, dryers, ranges, and refrigerators. New cords and hookups are required. We do not install dishwashers, over-the-counter microwaves, or anything with gas lines.
Can I schedule my delivery for a specific time?
While you can request a preferred delivery time, deliveries are scheduled by zip code to maximize efficiency and serve as many customers as possible. For that reason, we cannot guarantee a specific delivery time. Prior to your delivery, you'll receive a 3-hour delivery window, and our delivery team will contact you before arriving at your home.
What if my furniture arrives damaged or has a defect?
If your furniture arrives damaged or
has a manufacturing defect, please contact our Customer Service team as soon as
possible. A representative will review the issue with you and help determine
the best solution, which may include scheduling a service appointment or
arranging an exchange, depending on the nature of the problem.
